El Centro de Estudios del Cobre y la Minería (Cesco) is an independent and plural space that promotes social legitimacy and trust in the country's mining industry as a driver of development. To achieve this, we monitor and provide high-quality information and analysis in innovative formats, support activities led by others, and foster dialogue and thinking among mining industry stakeholders and civil society. We also organize recognized national and international events, including: Semana Cesco in Santiago, Chile; Semana Cesco Asia in Shanghai, China; and VALORAMOS, which emphasizes independence and objectivity in critical analysis of challenges and opportunities facing the mining industry in Chile and the region. Our members and collaborators are professionals with recognized experience and expertise in the mining industry and other sectors, and we are a leading national and international reference point for timely and informed debate on critical issues affecting the sector's sustainable development.
