GUIDE DOGS SINGAPORE LTD.

Guide Dogs Singapore is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals with vision impairment enhance their quality of life through mobility training and pairing them with suitable Guide Dogs. Our mission is to make further inroads for Guide Dog access with building owners, food establishments, and regulators. We have successfully trained and paired 10 guide dog teams in our history, with a steadily increasing number of potential clients joining our waiting list. Donations of S$20 and above are eligible for 250% tax deduction due to our Charity status from the Commissioner of Charities and NCSS associate membership.

Guide Dogs Association of the Blind provides highly trained guide dogs and a comprehensive suite of rehabilitation services to blind and visually impaired people in Singapore. The organisation delivers orientation and mobility training, independent living skills coaching, assistive-technology training, and client-centred social and skills workshops. It also offers accessibility consultancy to help organisations create inclusive digital platforms, conducts outreach and advocacy in schools, businesses and government agencies, and partners with corporates to fulfill CSR goals. GDS operates an online shop to support its work, runs regular fundraising campaigns and volunteer programmes, and is an accredited full member of the International Guide Dog Federation. The organisation works within Singapore’s legal framework that permits guide dogs in food establishments and public transport, enabling users to achieve greater independence, social inclusion and quality of life.
